Strain: Probably just a muscle strain in the lumbar spine. The sensations in the anterior thigh are most likely referred pain. If your symptoms persist and it does not go away, see in orthopedic specialist.

Pinched nerve?: You may have ruptured a disk last night causing back pain and today the ruptured, pushed out disk maybe pinching a nerve causing pain in the front of your thigh.
