What is the purpose of childrens acetiminophen? does it help with 'the common cold' as it says on the box? i've tried cold meds too but it don't help!

Comfort measures: Acetaminophen is basically a comfort medication that can sometimes help babies get past the minor aches & pains of an illness. It has no action what so ever against the cold virus, but is sold as part of the comfort rx for such ailments.
