None: With uncomplicated lithotripsy, return to work the following day is reasonable.

Only day of ESWL: You certainly can return to work the next day unless you get impacted stone fragments in the ureter. So called steinstrasse. This can cause kidney pain/colic requiring pain meds. Some urologists temporarily leave s stent in place if they anticipate steinstrasse if large vaolume of stone has been pulverised. On other hand, sometimes possible to have eswl in pm so u can work in am(with nil by mouth).
