A member asked:

Can problems with the ears cause vertigo (spinning feeling)? it's highly probable i have oi type 1, which can affect my ears from what i understand.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely but possibl: I assume you have osteogenesis imperfecta. This is a defect in bone development that causes frequent fractures. There can be boney overgrowth in certain areas including in the skull. This may cause some defect in inner ear function. However, episodes of vertigo may also be due to poor blood flow to the brain. Blood flow through the neck may be bad. You need a thorough evaluation.
