Stiff upper wrist?: A 'locked' joint is one that is overused and needs to rest; which playing the piano can certain lear to. Try heat; and stretching before and after your next serenade.

COuld be spasm: This could be spasm and may be positional. Frequent rest periods and stretching might help.
