Unknown connection: Turkey tail (coriolus versicolor) mushrooms have an excellent safety record. They have no known toxicity related to the kidneys. I don't think anyone can explain why they might cause this material; it might be a coincidence. You might ask your doctor to test your urine but it might not be possible to identify the whispy material. But it is unlikely to be a problems. Please see my comment:.
