Reduces swelling: Sleeping with your feet elevated can reduce the heaviness and swelling (called edema) in your legs and feet by redistributing the fluid in the legs and feet that tends to accumulate during the day while you're standing. If you reduce the salt intake in your diet you may notice less swelling and heaviness in the legs also.
