No matter how i try wean off my anti- depressants the side effects are terrible. similar to electric shocks in my head and body. any advice?

Ultraslow tapers: One strategy is to taper super slow. Example: you are on a medication dose of 100 mg once per day & medication only comes as 50 mg and 100 mg pills, rather than going from 100 mg to 50 mg, go every other day 100 mg & 50 mg. If too fast, you could take 100 mg mon, tues, wed, fri, sat & 50 mg on sun & thurs. If that works, replace one of the 100 mg with 50 mg next week etc until only on 50 mg daily.

Taper: There are probably more ways to taper antidepressants than there are antidepressants in existence. What may work for u is what u & your prescribing doctor carefully plan after several trial & errors.
