A member asked:

How long does it take for a blood blister on lip to go away?

Varies: Such a blood blister often occurs with trauma, and the degree of injury often correlates with the length of healing time. Simple biting of the lip accidentally may result in blister for several days, and running into the door may take the healing a bit longer.

Blood blister on lip: It will depend on the cause. Having said that it usually takes from 10-14 days for healing to occur. That is without re-injuring the area. Keeping it moist with lip balm helps.

1 wk: I am assuming this was caused by accidental trauma as a lip bite. Be careful not to rebite the area which is common, due to the slight swelling.
