A member asked:

Is the radiation dose during an hsg harmful to the developing ovarian follicles, hence the possible future embryos ? cant it cause chromosomal abnls

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: The radiation is highest during the active fluoroscopy. If your doctor limits the amount of fluoroscopy then the radiation dosage is very minimal and should not harm any developing follicle. Minimal static x-ray films should be taken also.
