No: There is no benefit in doing so. Microcalcifications are common. They themselves do not cause any problems. A minority of some types of calcifications can be an indication of a potential early cancer. They themselves do not cause a problem.

Not all bad: Microcalcifications are not all bad. Many of them form as the natural process of aging. Some will be in specific shapes or patterns that concern us and a needle biopsy will give the answer.

Microcalcifications : There are many causes of breast calcifications, most are benign and require no treatment. Some are suspicious and require biopsy, the rest are best left alone.
