Heat, topicals: Probably the most commonly overlooked environmental hazards for pregnant women are heat and topical chemicals. First, heat is radiated from the mom to baby and the baby growing inside doesn't have much of a chance to cool off (babies are typically 2 degrees hotter than mom's temp). Second, our skin absorbs almost anything we rub or spray on it. Pay attention to chemicals you put on your body!
