Sum of food & drink: That one consumes would make up one's diet. Many diets are based on trying to maintain or achieve a particular weight; or on religious grounds, e.g. Kosher, vegetarian/vegan, buddhist, hallelujah, islamic...I'm not a fan of a particular 'diet' so much as a lifestyle and manner of eating, drinking that incorporates healthiness, social gatherings, and a heightened sensitivity to the joy of eating.
