Live X-rays: Fluoroscopy refers to a moving image of x-rays used by radiologists to guide needles, wires and catheters in the body. Using pulses of x-rays, a computer displays the image on a tv screen. It is used in GI radiology for barium a studies as well.

Dynamic imaging: Fluoroscopy uses x-ray for dynamic and anatomical imaging of GI tract (swallowing, esophagus, stomach, small bowel, large bowel), genitourinary system(urethra, bladder, ureters, kidneys), coronary arteries, airway, biopsies, orthopedic hardware placement, catheters in arteries and veins, diaphragmatic motion , and therapy of cysts and tumors , etc. Fluoroscopy and x-ray are oldest imaging procedures.

Fluoroscopy=: Medical imaging technique using x-rays for real-time visualization of body structures on a video display. Commonly used for image guidance, interventional procedures(e.g. angiography), and for diagnostic studies such as an Upper GI series.
