What is the definition or description of: creatinine clearance?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kidney Function: Creatinine clearance is used in clinical practice to give an estimate of overall kidney function, or glomerular filtration rate. Generally normal is considered 100 or above, but it goes down every year and elderly patients may have low clearance which is not abnormal.
