Rhabdo: Rhabdomyolysis refers to death of muscle cells and the subsequent release of the cellular components into the bloodstream resulting from either trauma or other insults (drugs, heat stroke, etc). Depending on the severity of the tissue injury, rhabdomyolysis can range from causing no symptoms to diffuse myalgia (muscle pain) and kidney failure.
