Eye pain: Eye irritation is a symptom that patients will report, and is typically related to dry eye or blepharitis. However, many other conditions can lead to eye irritation, as well as eye surgery. Doctors should evaluate patients with eye irritation with a slit lamp exam, and use Fluorescein stain to determine whether there is an infection or another treatable condition.
