What is the definition or description of: chest burning?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heartburn: Usually if your chest burn, it could be an issue with digestion. Although whenever you have issues with your chest be sure to contact your dr to be evaluated. Usually heart problems cause chest pressure or pain right under the sternum, but not chest burning. The esophagus runs through the chest and if its irritated, it could give the feeling of burning. Hope this helps.
