Bleeding freckle.: A pigmented (darker) skin lesion that is changing, or any skin lesion that does not heal, should be checked by a dermatologist. This could be due to repeated scratching, or may be signa a problem in the skin. Better safe now than sorry later.

Freckle???: You called it a freckle, but most freckles do not develop scabs and bleed when they fall off. You should have this checked by a dermatologist. Though you are young, it is still possible to have a skin cancer, especially if you are fair-skin or redhead, and have sunburned in your past. Get it examined; most skin cancers are no big deal if removed (local anesthesia) while small. Don't pick at it!
