Sometimes: Scars are physiological response to injuries of the skin. Scars come in different forms: red, raised, depigmented, thinned, pitted, stretch mark like, or any combination of the above. Lasers work well to correct the redness. However, all of the other components require "reinjury" by the laser, with the hopes of "proper re-recovery" of the skin. This is difficult, so only partially effective.
