Clean-out needed: If you keep giving bulk laxatives without getting him cleaned out, he'll just cramp worse. Your pede or a pede GI may want a plain x-ray of his abdomen, then prescribe go-litely or enemas if he's too impacted. Once cleared, they'll have you give him MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) for at least 6 months. Chronic constipation can lead to diverticulosis & diverticulitis in adulthood, so it'll be good to seek treatment now.
