Insufficient Data: Cognex® (tacrine hydrochloride capsules) is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate dementia of the alzheimer's type. Insufficient data to recommend. Category c: animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with tacrine. It is also not known whether cognex® (tacrine) can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproductive capacity.

What?: Tacrine is a drug used for dementia and not commonly used anymore its brand name was cognex. It would be unusual to have a drug used for alzheimers dementia prescribed for a woman of child bearing or nursing ace.
