Quickly: If you develop an oral lesion that looks suspicious it should be evaluated as soon as possible to prevent growth or spread. This is not an emergency but you should see an oral surgeon, or an otolarynologist as soon as possible. A dentist could also help with this.

Soon, This week: Cancer is not something people feel ok having. If you suspect cancer, then see a dentist, oral surgeon or ENT specialist for examination, biopsy if needed and treatment recommendations. Stop worrying and see someone who can make the diagnosis.
