Lead: Lead is a very toxic metal especially if you got exposed in pregnancy. Even small amounts of the metal have been reported to be with health effects. It crosses the placenta and can affect the fetus as well. The effect is mainly in the nervous system. They intellectual development may be affected in low dose exposure. Heavy exposure can lead to coma.
