A member asked:

Are some skin types prone to damage during hair waxing? are people with lighter skin more at risk of any sort of damage during hair waxing?

No: Skin quality not type or color will determine its response to trauma. During waxing, the top, dead layer of skin may get removed with the hair. Skin that is excessively dry or already damaged (sun, chemicals, certain medications, disease) is at much higher risk to further damage from trauma. Moisturize once or twice daily and avoid excessive sunlight to keep healthy, supple skin.
