Md evaluation: If cough is lasting mire then 2-3 weeks, you should be evaluated a your primary care physician. If he/she cannot figure out what's going on, you will need a referral to a pulmonologist.

Lung exam: Seeing a pulmonologist to have your lungs examined and getting a chest x-ray (and possibly ct scan) to look at your lungs and possibly having a bronchoscopy performed to look in your airways.
