Yes: Ventolin hfa is safe for use during pregnancy & lactation based on data from several studies. The nhlbi guidelines for asthma management (epr-3) also recommend albuterol (the medication contained in ventolin hfa) as the preferred quick relief medication for asthma in pregnancy. Please consult a lung specialist as asthma can worsen during pregnancy requiring additional precautions.
