Possibly reflux: You may be experiencing signs and symptoms of reflux esophagitis. This is when gastric acid and stomach contents are being pushed up into the esophagus. This can cause damage to the esophagus causing significant pain. Try over-the-counter acid suppressants like Prilosec otc to see if it improves. If no improvement, go see your doctor. You will need to have an endoscopy.
