All the urine x1 day: A person would be given a large jug, and asked to collect all the urine that gets into their bladder during a 24 hour period, usually from waking up one day to waking up at the same time the next day. Then the lab measures the calcium concentration, multiplies this by the total volume of the urine, and reports a 24 hour calcium excretion rate. About 100 - 300 milligrams is considered normal.
