A member asked:

Do general practitioners know about mccradle's disease?

Some do.: Is there a question of trust? Not every physician knows everythiing about anything! a generalist is just that, a generalist. Each generalist has areas of expertise and general knowledge but may not know about specific this such as mcardles's disease. This may be best evaluated, treated and followed by a neurologist. However, trust your pcp and have a good working relationshi;p with him/her!

McCardle's?: If you are referring to the glycogen storage disease known as mccardle's, most gps should be familiar. If not, they can certainly look it up.
