See doctor or ER..,,: The nightsweats you describe need to be evaluated by your doctor, especially with respiratory symptoms, like productive cough (especially if blood present), fever, shortness of breath, chest pain, etc. Possibilities include various infections, like tb, pneumonia, bronchitis. Your doctor will probably want a chest x-ray as well as your physical exam and labwork. Go to er if worsening symptoms.
