(contact state medical board) years in practice, how easy is it to get an "urgent" appointment, how about a physical appointment, what are the different ways to contact that doctor (phone, email, healthtap, etc.), any testimonials from current patients? Searching for a doc: There are three ways of knowing: We know what we know, we know what we don't know, and we don't know what we don't know. Often folks seek out the 'best' credentialed docs, board certifications, malpractice history, years of experience. Physicians who are honest, in some situations have the humility to scratch their head, shake their head and say: "I'm just not sure, and need to check around."
