No one knows: Writing unclear: presume you are referring to Asperger syndrome vs. Variations in individual sensitivities about many different issues. Medicine, psychology & psychiatry all an art far more than science; the issues are vastly too complex for scientific approach. Thus people adopt generalizations, stereotypes, syndromes & labels (diagnoses) for complex patterns; all strongly influenced by $ issues.
