Hives: Hives come up suddenly in itch very intensely. They also usually disappear and may come and go. Other types of bumps that don't itch are usually not hives.

Could be : Hives can occur anywhere on the body. Hives are red, raised, itchy areas that come and go and vary in size. They can be caused by a variety of issues: 1. Allergies to pollens, mold, dust, food, drugs and bee stings 2. Infections like hepatitis 3. Autoimmunity 4. Vaculitis 5. Idiopathic – unknown cause – very common treatment may include antihistamines, h2 blockers, steroids, doxepin.
