Skip harsh chemicals: Your skin may be more sensitive in pregnancy. Skip harsh chemicals that may be over-drying. Also try to avoid products that contain retinol or large amounts of salacylic acid as there are some associations with problems with baby. I love the belli line of skincare. It is very gentle using natural ingredients and was created for pregnant women.

Avoid Active Product: Generally you want to avoid any active products when you are pregnant (things like Retin-A and hydroquinone). One of the beauties of pregnancy is that typically your skin will look fresher and healthier because it is well hydrated and has a nice youthful glow. Stay well hydrated and moisturize your skin with simple products as needed. Hope this helps!

Good exfoliation and: Pregnancy is sacred and therefore i try to keep it natural and superficial. Acne and hyperpigmentation can be particularly bothersome issues during pregnancy, but aggressive treatment of those can wait until later. Good exfoliation is a must along with vitamin c & sunscreens. Treat yourself to a facial once in awhile as well. It will help with the daily stress and make the baby happy. Good luck!

Skin in pregnancy: Avoid trauma (heat, friction, exfoliants) avoid Retin-A for the safety of your baby, no sun exposure (risk of melasma, the mask of pregnancy). Use bland moisuturizers.

Pregnancy & skin: When pregnant, women love or dislike their skin. Pregnancy acne can be treated with benzoyl peroxide or topical antibiotics if more severe. Hyperpigmentation due to hormones, can try vitaminc & a new cream, melaplex from neocutis that is hydroquinone free and safe in pregnancy. Donot use retin-a, salicylic acid &hydroquinone when pregnant. Alpha/beta/poly hydroxy's are safe in pregnancy.
