Is there a natural remedy for slow digestion?

It depends: Not sure what you mean by slow digestion. If you mean constipation, herbal suppliments containing senna can be helpful. You really should see your doctor to discuss this further. You may need some testing before relying on over-the-counter suppliments.

Iberogast: If you truly have delayed gastric emptying or gastroparesis, the german homeopathic formula iberogast has been shown to be an effective natural treatment. If it is constipation, i agree that added fiber and magnesium citrate would also be helpful.

Get Moving: When we slow down, our plumbing inside - including our digestion - slows down too. In addition to the great suggestions by our colleagues, how much are you moving? Your goal: at least a total of 30-60 minutes of activity every day. Walking, dancing? Take 1 flight of stairs instead of the elevator. Make it fun!
