You don't have to.: There are ways to join them that could allow you to be a part of what they are doing without going overboard yourself. If you are referring to more liquid than solid food calories, you have a good point. Your question seems to indicate you feel you may not have as good a time on a spring break as off of one. Explaining to them how you feel might help. You can do all things in moderation.
