Yes: For most of us our animals are family. We want them enough to bring them into our homes, care for them under all circumstances, go through the growing pains they all have and love their quirks and personalities. In return they give us unending affection in spite of the frustration and scolding we show at times. It's no wonder then that when they are gone there is a very empty spot in our heart.
