Numerous reasons: There are a number of potential causes for her symptoms. Often COPD patients have reflux which can certainly cause her to feel "sick". Many of the drugs used in treating COPD can also make her sick through many mechanisms. If she is taking cortisone at meal time, this is something to consider. You may want to playa little "sherlock holmes" around her meal time to look for causes.
