A member asked:

How will my emotions affect my care as a caregiver?

7 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Positively, hopefully: Your emotions as a caregiver can help or get in the way. They are your own and should not burden those you give care to. If feelings are stirred by those you are caring for don't let those feelings get in the way of giving the best possible care you can give. Negative emotions are yours to solve outside that relationship. Positive emotions are shown by the care you give. Words are not needed.
