Generally normal: Its completely normal to feel the heart beat at places in the body where the arteries that carry blood from the heart are close to the surface and easily felt. This includes the wrist, the neck, the groin, your feet and in some individuals the upper abdomen and temples. Overwhelmongly this is normal. If the pulse is irregular this could indicate a medical problem and a doctor should be consulted.
