Absolutely: Acupuncture can be very effective for the treatment of sciatic pain. Sciatica is always caused by another condition. This should be evaluated by your physician so that the underlying cause can be addressed.

Possibly: Although not understood fully, acupuncture has shown good success in some pain syndromes. Only way to know is try it out. If after 2-3 treatments you can't see a difference I would seek out a pain/spine specialist for other options.
