Depends on variables: Most impetigo affects the superficial skin layers & seldom scars. However, repeated scratching with deeper skin penetration can leave some skin defects.

Unlikely: Simple bullous impetigo does not cause scars unless there is a lot of scratching involved. Kids heal fast and do so without forming lifetime scars
