No: Sickle cell anemia is not an infection - thus it is not contagious. It is a genetic disease and so, it is hereditary.

Sickle cell disease: Sickle cell disease is not contagious. A person with sickle cell disease inherits it from both of their parents. Sometimes both parents have sickle cell disease, but it is also possible for bot parents to show no symptoms of sickle cell disease. In this latter case, each parent can be an unaffected carrier and pass it on to their child.
