Primary molars: Children have two primary molars. The first molar is lost between ages of nine to ten. The second molar is lost between eleven to twelve. The permanent bicuspids erupt under these molars dissolving the roots and pushing them out. Girls tend to be quicker at loosing them than the boys. However, these are just averages. Every child has his own time table. They hold space for perm teeth.
