Varies per pt.: Everyone has differnet pain tolerabilities, so there is no definative answer for you. Generally speaking pain should start to go away as your surgery site heals over a few weaks. Follow-up with your dr. And discuss any issues to get any proper treatment as needed. Good luck to you.

Osteotomy: First it would be nice to know where the proposed osteotomy will be and why . Then we can present a reasonable estimate as to pain levels. Keep in mind that everyone's tolerance of pain is different . Speak to your surgeon about this and any concerns.

Several weeks.: An osteotomy is essentially a surgically induced fracture. Like other fractures, they take about 6 weeks to heal. You should be much more comfortable after the first two weeks following surgery.

See below: Talk to your surgeon. It will depend on the specific procedures performed. If properly medicated you should be fine.
