Many: Side effects fromnaltrexone include interruptions of heart rythm, rapid heart rate, increase or decrease in blood pressuer; nausea and vomitting; sweating, and withdrawal symptoms if the person has been using the drug. (the brand Narcan (naloxone) has been discontinued in the us).

Depends: If you are dependent on Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride) (meperidine) or any other opiate, Naloxone (narcan) will not only reverse the od, but put you into very bad withdrawal, depending on the level of dependency and the dose of narcan. If you are not dependent, it will only reverse the od and have no side effects to speak of. Narcan has no intrinsic effects of its own.

Narcan can cause: you to go into withdrawal wi irritability, restlessness, flushing, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, fever, weakness, overall aching, sedation & dizziness.Severe withdrawal sx's: agitation, ^ or v blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm, difficulty breathing, seizure or coma.
