A member asked:

Are there any long term effects of naloxone after morphone od?

No, only short term.: Naloxone by itself will not cause short-term side effects. However, when used to treat opioid overdose (e.g., morphine), the patient receiving the drug will begin to feel the opioid withdrawal almost instantly. One dose of Naloxone will only last for 1-2 hours, so od patients should receive continuous monitoring and Naloxone administration until the opioid is cleared.
