Is it safe to have glucose control drinks while pregnant?

Just not good choice: These products are a waste of your money, especially in pregnancy. Follow your ada diet and especially food choices with a low glycemic index like nonfat/nosugar yogurt and fruits and vegetables, nuts and legumes. And stay away from bread, rice, pasta, potatoes and cereal.

What?: There is no such thing as a drink which will provide "glucose control". Are you looking at the tv ads for nutritional supplements that say they're for control of diabetes? Those are tube feeding supplement companies attempting to sell more product by convincing people to drink their supplement rather than eating properly. Eating properly is much, much better. Consult your dietitian.
