Possible-yes/Safe?: Yes, one can quit cold turkey. Depending on the lenght of drinking and amount of drinking, safety may be a real factor. I have seen people withdraw adequately on their own. However, I do not recommend this without medical supervision. Dt's/withdrawal can be a life threatening process and require days and days in an ICU on high doses of IV medications. Get help!
